Cervicogenic and tension headaches usually affect one side of the head, including the back, side, front, and behind the eyes. To treat these headaches, we employ various manual therapy techniques, such as joint mobilizations and manipulations of the neck and cervical spine, along with manual traction and therapeutic exercises. Additionally, we use dry needling and laser treatments because there is a connection between the upper cervical spine and headaches, particularly tension and posture-related headaches.

Tightness and poor posture are common causes of cervicogenic and tension headaches, especially for people who spend long hours on their phones, computers, or in front of gaming consoles. Poor posture, such as a forward head position and rounded shoulders, puts strain on the upper neck. This strain can lead to nerve impingements that cause headaches along the back, side, front of the head, and behind the eyes.

Our goal is to address these headaches without relying on long-term medications or injections. Ideally, we aim to avoid surgical interventions and instead focus on natural treatments. We strive to help people return to their favorite activities and improve their quality of life, as headaches can be incredibly painful and life-limiting, affecting family time, social activities, work productivity, and the hobbies and activities you love most.
